Google has been around from 1998 and has certainly changed the way we use the Internet.
For any Internet user, Google is the next name he knows after Internet; and why not?
Google for these many years has provided services that made our access to huge amount of data very easy.
One prominent service we all know and use is Gmail. After the gradual death of Hotmail, Gmail is the next service we all use.
Reason being, it’s very simple for any lay man user who needs a medium to receive mails and also it includes extensive features for any power user whose entire business runs via important emails.
Once such feature (of Gmail) available for Power Users is ‘Labels’.
Instead of using Folders, Gmail uses an uncomplicated way of arranging emails using Labels i.e. tagging certain types of emails and arranging accordingly.
For example if you regularly receive offer emails from Amazon.com about great deals and discounts and want to organize them accordingly, arranging them in Labels is your best bet.
You’ve subscribed to various ecommerce sites like eBay, Best Buy, Amazon.com and so on; you can create a parent Label like ‘Deals’ and nest child labels like Amazon.com, eBay, Best Buy and so on under it.
Moving on let me put forth how simple it is to create labels in Gmail and organize your important mails peacefully.
How to create Labels in Gmail?
For starters, let me tell you…
Creating Labels is very simple in Gmail.
See the left-hand side panel of your Gmail and click on ‘More’.
Under ‘More’ you’ll see ‘Create New Label’ at the bottom. Click on it and you’re good to go.
In my example, I want to group of emails from eBay, hence I’ll name my Label as ‘eBay’ and click on ‘Create’.
Once created, you’ll always see ‘eBay’ Label on the left-hand panel.
Now to arrange emails from eBay under ‘eBay’ Label; locate your mail, drag it and drop on to the ‘eBay’ Label.
Once you move your mails from Inbox to your preferred Label, it will disappear from your Inbox and you’ll see it under Labels forever.
As I said earlier, what if you want to nest multiple Labels under a parent Label?
You can do that too; just follow the simple steps shows below.
How to Nest Multiple Labels under One?
Now to create a Parent label, we’ll create another new label naming it as ‘Deals and Offers’ and will nest previously created label ‘eBay’ under it.
First I’ll create a new label named ‘Deals and Offers’ in the same manner I created ‘eBay’ label.
Later to nest it, I’ll click on the small triangle next to ‘eBay’ and chose Edit.
Tick option ‘Nest Label Under’ and select ‘Deals and Offers’ from drop-down menu below and click on ‘Save’.
Now what if you have created multiple Labels and it becomes hectic to manage all these labels.

How to manage Multiple Labels Easily?
In order to manage multiple labels, that you might create later, here’s a quick fix.
Click on the gear icon sitting at top-right corner of your Gmail screen.
Under it; click on Settings.
Inside Settings; click on Labels tab and you’ll be greeted with all the labels under your Gmail account.
Inside it, you can manage all your automatically and manually created labels as per your needs.
